CopyrightChain was born from the international experience of Banks Association Offshore (ABO) and is developed and operated by its Italian operational presence, the Associazione fra le Banche Offshore in Italia. Established in Italy in 2012, the Italian structure was chosen as the European operational hub because it operates within the European Union, close to businesses, professionals and creators. The project operates under Tax Code 92034960457 and VAT ID IT01510670456 from its operational office at Corso Venezia 1, Milan.

ABO — Banks Association Offshore is the international organization launched in 2002. The Associazione fra le Banche Offshore in Italia, established in 2012, represents its Italian operational presence and is part of the wider ABO family. The Italian structure was chosen as CopyrightChain’s operational hub because it makes it possible to develop and manage the project from within the European Union. ABO carries out representation, research and in-depth study of international banking and financial systems, fintech, transparency and the evolution of digital assets. Why we created CopyrightChain

CopyrightChain was born from a simple conviction: anyone who creates an idea, a text, an image, a project or a digital work must be able to document easily when that content existed and in what form, in every country in the world.

The idea comes from the experience gained within the international ABO family, serving banks, trust companies, securities brokerage firms and financial operators. The Italian office was chosen to develop and manage CopyrightChain because it operates within the European Union and is close to the European market. This experience has shown us how decisive the traceability, integrity and verifiability of transactions and documents are. Blockchain technologies have made it possible to record information in distributed ledgers that are difficult to alter.

We applied the same principle to intangible assets, making this notarial technology accessible to creators, professionals and companies. In just a few minutes, CopyrightChain generates a verifiable digital dossier: it identifies the file, documents its date and integrity, and produces a PDF certificate with a QR code for public verification. Bitcoin anchoring or an InfoCert Timestamp can also be added. The result is technical proof of prior existence and integrity, useful for presenting, sharing and protecting one’s work as effectively as possible.

Research and annual reports

The Association develops research contributions on the global banking economy: transformations in credit systems, regulation, international markets, monetary innovation, digital currencies and financial technologies. Its editorial program organizes these studies into annual reports, thematic reports and educational publications.

From experience to service

CopyrightChain brings the financial culture of documentation and verification into the world of intangible assets, making an organized method for documenting files before they begin to circulate accessible to creators, professionals and businesses.

Palau as a case of innovation

Palau has been important for ABO, which had the opportunity, as a partner, to develop a digital finance laboratory there, helping to create the “Stablecoin” cryptocurrency and other blockchain-based initiatives. For the Association, it was a useful case study for observing how small jurisdictions can experiment with new financial instruments.

The project for China

We are preparing CopyrightChina, a Chinese-language initiative designed to connect businesses, creators and professionals across China, Italy and Europe. The aim is to present European digital documentation and certification services through bilingual content and verifiable dossiers. Localization, integrations and collaborations are under development.
