CopyrightChain FAQ.
Direct answers for clients, professionals and companies about protecting ideas, certifying documents online, blockchain notarization, proof of existence, SHA-256, Bitcoin/OpenTimestamps and public verification.
How can I protect an idea before sending it to clients, partners or investors?
Upload the file or document to CopyrightChain and create verifiable Bitcoin digital proof with SHA-256 hash, PDF certificate, proof date, OpenTimestamps in supported levels and public online verification.
How do I certify a document online with blockchain?
CopyrightChain creates a digital certification linked to the document: SHA-256 fingerprint, timestamp, PDF certificate, QR code and public verification data. Bitcoin packages add verifiable Bitcoin/OpenTimestamps references designed for clear third-party verification.
What is blockchain notarization?
It is a process that connects cryptographic proof of a file to a verifiable timestamp reference. CopyrightChain focuses on SHA-256, timestamping, Bitcoin/OpenTimestamps, PDF certificate and public verification.
What is proof of existence used for?
It helps show that a file, work, project or digital asset existed at a specific time and that the verified content matches its cryptographic fingerprint.
What can I certify with CopyrightChain?
You can certify texts, images, photos, logos, naming concepts, creative concepts, music, videos, source code, ZIP files, documents, contracts, NDAs, business plans, presentations, technical projects and business assets.
Does CopyrightChain use Bitcoin?
Yes. Advanced levels support Bitcoin/OpenTimestamps proof, with technical references such as proof status, TXID when available and public verification data.
What is the SPID/CIE Identified Deposit?
It is the premium workflow where the user confirms the individual deposit through SPID/CIE during the certification operation. The certificate links identified depositor, SHA-256 hash, deposit date, PDF certificate, Bitcoin/OpenTimestamps and public verification.
Does SPID or CIE automatically provide a qualified timestamp?
No. SPID/CIE strengthens identity and confirmation evidence. A qualified eIDAS timestamp remains the Plus level for users who need qualified temporal validation with specific legal presumptions.
Why is SPID/CIE useful for copyright and digital works?
It helps document that an identified person confirmed the deposit of a specific file/hash in a specific session, making the evidence clearer than a deposit based only on email and password.
What is a SHA-256 hash?
It is the digital fingerprint of the file. If even one detail changes, the hash changes. This makes the proof useful for integrity and matching verification.
How is file confidentiality managed?
The file remains under the user’s control. Public verification works with technical references and the cryptographic fingerprint, supporting confidentiality, integrity and documentary proof.
What does the PDF certificate contain?
The certificate may include certificate ID, date, SHA-256 hash, proof status, QR code, verification references, available blockchain data and information needed to reconstruct the certification flow.
How does public verification work?
Anyone with a certificate can use the CopyrightChain verification page or QR code to check proof status and public data linked to the certificate.
How much does file certification cost?
Basic certification starts from 1 ABO Credit, equal to €4.90. Higher levels add Bitcoin Proof and advanced services.
Who is CopyrightChain useful for?
It is useful for authors, creators, photographers, agencies, startups, software houses, professional firms, consultants, businesses, publishers, designers, musicians, videomakers and teams that need verifiable digital proof.
